Every year in mid to late September the Rocky Mountains in Colorado has its own display of autumn colors when the aspen begin to turn to a golden yellow. From a distance they are patches of aspen groves stark against the evergreen forests. at close range the leaves shimmer in the breeze bringing a tranquil whisper around you. This was taken in the area of St Elmo, near the Arkansas River Basin of Colorado
