This is the small harbor of Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortuga Islands of the Florida Keys. It can only be reached by boat or seaplane and is protected by the reef you can see in the background of this photograph. This is a part of an early part of Florida history that is missed because of its location in the Florida Keys. I have several other photographs of Fort Jefferson so please peruse and learn a little more about this wonderful location in Florida.
I have been exposed to the art world since a child roaming the halls of Art Galleries throughout Europe with my artist/architect father. During my military days in Vietnam I became exposed to photography by doing black and white aerial photography and processing it in my own dark room and taking color slides as well. Not until the age of digital cameras did I reintroduce myself to photography and raising two wonderfully talented sons who were actors and musicians and was able to help them along the way taking photographs for their respective portfolios (several are in my portfolio here).
