Description
The US Training Ship Kennedy has a long history and former names having served in the PersianGulf on several tours during the first Gulf War and and in 2012 to New York Harbor to house first Responders and FEMA personnel during Hurricane Sandy. Her home port has been Buzzards Bay since 2001 as training for the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. She was renamed Kennedy in 2009 to honor the Kennedy family. This image was captured while I was sailing toward the East River from Long Island Sound and the Kennedy going under Throgs Neck bridge I assume on her way back to Buzzards Bay.
