When I was traveling in New England, and while on Cape Cod was able to connect with a friend of mine who is a tour guide who connected me with a whale watching group out of Provinceton (Ptown as its known locally. We went out approximately 20 miles from the shore where the whales spend their summer feeding. Though there are sightings of a number of whale species, on this day there were only Humpbacks in attendance. I was informed that they were taking the day off from feeding and just strolling around. I noticed that hung out in groups and on occasion saw at least 4 at one time. Unfortunately they never broached the surface in play as they would while feeding but able to capture this series of images.....
I have been exposed to the art world since a child roaming the halls of Art Galleries throughout Europe with my artist/architect father. During my military days in Vietnam I became exposed to photography by doing black and white aerial photography and processing it in my own dark room and taking color slides as well. Not until the age of digital cameras did I reintroduce myself to photography and raising two wonderfully talented sons who were actors and musicians and was able to help them along the way taking photographs for their respective portfolios (several are in my portfolio here).
