In New Smyrna Beach each year is the classic and custom auto show just before the beginning of the Daytona 500 at the Daytona Beach International Speedway. Nascar's history is as colorful as the logo-emblazoned stock cars that have made the sport famous. ... There and then the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (Nascar) was conceived. Two months later, on February 15, 1948, the first official Nascar race was held on the beach in Daytona.
About Christopher James
I have been exposed to the art world since a child roaming the halls of Art Galleries throughout Europe with my artist/architect father. During my military days in Vietnam I became exposed to photography by doing black and white aerial photography and processing it in my own dark room and taking color slides as well. Not until the age of digital cameras did I reintroduce myself to photography and raising two wonderfully talented sons who were actors and musicians and was able to help them along the way taking photographs for their respective portfolios (several are in my portfolio here).
